With those who make the Fête de l’Huma: “A great moment of camaraderie”

Before the concerts, debates and meals, it's time for the construction site: on the former Brétigny military base, hundreds of builders are laying cables, erecting stages and installing stands, to make this 90th Fête de l'Humanité a success.
In front of the former military airbase 217, between Brétigny-sur-Orge and Le Plessis-Pâté (Essonne), it is difficult to imagine, while observing the still calm alleys, that from September 12 to 14, they will be teeming with hundreds of thousands of visitors.
Last year, nearly 450,000 people converged here over three days for France's largest festive and political event, the Fête de l'Humanité. A small miracle repeated every year, months in the making, before experiencing a powerful acceleration in the final weeks.
Since the end of August, the site has already taken on the appearance of an anthill. The plain has gradually transformed into a temporary city. Stalls and marquees point their noses toward the sky. The builders arrived, as they do every year, well before the public....
